Takeout Roulette is a restaurant-picker for people who can’t decide where to order from. Enter your postcode, spin the wheel, and we’ll drop you straight onto the restaurant’s page on a real delivery app so you can order in one click.
The problem we’re solving
Everyone has the same conversation at 7pm on a Tuesday: “What shall we eat?” — “I don’t mind, you pick.” — “No, you pick.” Forty minutes later you’re still scrolling Deliveroo. The wheel exists to end that loop: tell us where you are, and we’ll pick a restaurant at random from what’s actually available to you.
How it works
You enter a UK postcode. We use Google Places to help you get the postcode right, then we fetch the list of restaurants currently open for delivery at that postcode from Just Eat. A dozen of them become segments on the wheel. You spin. Whichever one wins, we open that restaurant’s real page on Just Eat in a new tab so you can order from there.
The random draw is uniform — every restaurant in the draw has an equal chance of winning. The wheel animation lands on whichever restaurant was actually drawn, never the other way around.
How we pay for this
Takeout Roulette is free to use and always will be. We plan to fund the site through affiliate commission: when you order from a partner we’re approved with, that partner may pay us a small cut. Commission does not change which restaurants show on the wheel or what the odds are. If we ever can’t get approved for commission on a partner, we’ll still link out to them — the wheel comes first, the payout is secondary.

Who runs it
Takeout Roulette is built and operated from the United Kingdom by a small independent team. We’re not owned by any delivery platform or restaurant group. For any question — press, partnerships, bug reports, or just hello — email hello@takeoutroulette.com.
What we don’t do
- We don’t process your order or take payment. The delivery partner handles the transaction end-to-end.
- We don’t run accounts or save your history. Every visit is a fresh spin.
- We don’t rank restaurants based on who pays us — there’s no promoted placement on the wheel, ever.
