Terms of service.

Last updated 2026-04-22

By using Takeout Roulette (the “Service”) you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

The Service is operated from the United Kingdom. You can reach us at hello@takeoutroulette.com.

1. What we do

Takeout Roulette lets you enter a UK postcode, spin a wheel of nearby restaurants that are open for delivery, and jump straight to that restaurant’s page on a third-party delivery platform (for example Just Eat). We don’t operate the delivery platforms, we don’t cook the food, and we don’t handle your order. Our job ends when we hand you off.

2. What we don’t promise

  • We don’t guarantee a specific restaurant will be on the wheel, or that its information (menu, opening hours, prices, delivery area) is accurate — that data comes from the delivery platform and can change at any moment.
  • We don’t guarantee the Service is available 24/7 or free of bugs. It’s provided “as is” and “as available”.
  • We don’t promise a specific restaurant will be the one the wheel picks — the draw is random.

3. Your order is with the delivery platform

When you click “Order on Just Eat” (or any other partner CTA), you leave our site and become a customer of that platform. Your order, payment, delivery, refund, complaint, and data-protection relationship are with them under their own terms and conditions. We’re not a party to that transaction.

4. Affiliate links

Some outbound links rewrite at click time to include an affiliate tracking identifier, which means we may earn a small commission if you place an order. This is how we plan to fund the site. It doesn’t cost you anything extra and it doesn’t change which restaurants appear on the wheel or what your odds of picking any particular one are. Full details on the affiliate disclosure page.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in a way that breaks the law or infringes someone else’s rights.
  • Scrape, spider, mirror, or otherwise automate access to the Service for any purpose other than normal human use.
  • Try to reverse-engineer or interfere with the infrastructure that serves the Service.
  • Upload, submit, or transmit anything malicious, offensive, or unlawful.
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or target any individual or business.

We may suspend or block access to anyone who materially breaks these rules, with or without notice.

6. Intellectual property

The Takeout Roulette name, the Pizza-Wheel logo, the wordmark, and all site design (layout, copy, SVG artwork, CSS) are ours, and protected by UK copyright and trade-mark law. Partner logos and restaurant names belong to their respective owners; we display them to identify the partner or restaurant, not to imply endorsement.

7. Third-party trademarks

“Deliveroo”, “Just Eat”, “Uber Eats”, and every restaurant brand that appears on the wheel are trademarks of their respective owners. We use them descriptively to identify the destination we’re handing you off to. No sponsorship, endorsement, or partnership is implied except where we explicitly say so.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, we exclude all implied warranties and we’re not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service — including, for example, a late delivery, a wrong order, food that didn’t meet expectations, or a restaurant listed on the wheel that turned out not to deliver to you. Those issues are between you and the delivery platform. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that can’t lawfully be excluded.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be heard exclusively in the courts of England and Wales, except that if you’re a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK you retain the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
